Aisha (she, her) is an accomplished religious educator, facilitator, author, curriculum developer, and anti-racism advocate. Her experience includes serving three UU congregations on both the east and west coasts of the US, and working for the Unitarian Universalist Association as Children and Families Program Director as part of the team that developed the Tapestry of Faith comprehensive curriculum.

In 2017, Aisha co-created the UU White Supremacy Teach-In movement. The teach-In resulted in two-thirds of our UU congregations making time to understand how institutional racism and white supremacy was playing out in a liberal faith community.

Aisha’s writings are featured in collections published by Skinner House. Most notably, she is one of the authors in the groundbreaking book, Centering: Navigating Race, Authenticity and Power in Ministry.

Aisha has served the wider denomination in many roles, including chairing the UUA Nominating Committee and as President of the Liberal Religious Educators Association. Aisha is the recipient of the 2018 Angus H. MacLean Award for Excellence in Religious Education and is a Credentialed Religious Educator at the Master Level.
