Michael (they/them) is a minister with over 20 years experience in congregational and denominational work. Michael served the UU Fellowship of Northern Westchester as its minister from 2007-2022, and before that served six years as the UUA Director of Young Adult and Campus Ministry. They are currently also an affiliated minister of the UU Congregation of the Hudson Valley.
Michael is the author or co-author of numerous Unitarian Universalist resources, including the curricula Our Whole Lives: Sexuality Education for Young Adults and Backpacker’s Notebook.
Michael’s service to our faith has included a term on the UUA Board of Trustees, where they led the Board’s work to have our Association repudiate the Doctrine of Discovery, service on the first UUA Presidential Search Committee, and leadership roles in Allies for Racial Equity and the Southeast UU Summer Institute (SUUSI). They currently serve as co-chairperson of the UUA Ministerial Fellowship Committee, chair of the board of New York UU Justice, and vice president of the board of the SUUSI Foundation.
